Kettering family offering $500 reward for return of child’s missing emotional support dog

KETTERING — A Kettering family is asking for help from the public after their son’s emotional support dog, named Weenie, went missing last week.

The family is now offering a $500 reward, no questions asked, for the return of the dachshund.

Weenie is described as primarily black and brown with some gray spots. The dog was last seen March 1 in the east Dayton area and was wearing a red harness.

According to social media posts, the dog belongs to the family’s son who has Autism and Williams Syndrome.
