MONTGOMERY COUNTY — Keep Montgomery County Beautiful (KMCB) earned the 2020 President’s Circle Award for keeping the county clean and green.
Keep America Beautiful is a nonprofit organization working to create green and beautiful communities.
“I am so pleased to announce that KMCB has once again surpassed the rigorous standards and is being recognized for its hard work,” said Montgomery County Commission President Judy Dodge.
“Even during a very challenging year, KMCB continued to provide resources and opportunities that empower our residents to make an impact on our community. From distributing at-home litter disposal kits to hosting its annual grant programs, KMCB is an asset to Montgomery County and our residents.”
KMCB has won the President’s Circle Award multiple times since the organization was established in 2006, said Matt Hilliard, Director of Montgomery County Environmental Services.
In qualifying for the award, KMCB has met standards by conducting an annual Community Appearance Index, calculating the affiliate’s cost/benefit ratio, and administering initiatives to end littering, improve recycling, and beautify Montgomery County.
