A three-vehicle crash at the entrance to The Shoppes of Beavercreek on Tuesday afternoon sent two people to hospitals.
An 18-year-old male driving a white Ford Explorer made an improper turn from North Fairfield Road onto Rex Drive in an attempt to enter the shopping center and hit two other vehicles just after 4 p.m., Beavercreek police said.
The driver in the Explorer, a Sabina resident, and his passenger were not injured, police said. The driver was cited for the traffic violation.
An adult and a juvenile in one of the cars involved in the collision were taken to hospitals. Their injuries were not believed to be serious, police said.
A female driving the third car in the accident was not hurt and did not require a trip to a hospital.
Traffic in the area of the crash, right across the road from The Mall at Fairfield Commons, was backed up because of the accident.
