Inaugural ‘Dayton Soup Fest’ to host more than 10 vendors’ creative dishes; free entry for guests

DAYTON — The Yellow Cab Tavern will be hosting its first ever “Dayton Soup Fest” Saturday afternoon and into the evening.

The event will feature dozens of local food trucks and restaurant vendors from 4 to 8 p.m.

Each of the more than 10 vendors will serve “varieties of soup and soup related dishes,” the spokesperson stated.

So far, the event can confirm the following vendors:

  • The Forking Pierogi
  • KungFU BBQ
  • The Pizza Bandit
  • Crusin’ Cuisine Food Truck
  • Home Cooked Vibes
  • CLaybourne Grille
  • The Family Spoon
  • Hot Dish

“We’re really excited for this inaugural event,” Yellow Cab Marketing and Development Director Brian Johnson said. “These specialty food festivals provide a great opportunity for our small business, food vendor partners to get creative and try out new items.”

News Center 7 learned that The Pizza Bandit will be one of the vendors getting creative and creating “soup themed pizzas,” according to Johnson.
