SPRINGFIELD — UPDATE @ 1:40 p.m:
Interstate 70 is back open and repairs are complete after a semi trailer hit a construction barrier Sunday morning.
The interstate was shut down in the area for about three hours.
Traffic should now being flowing as usual.
INITIAL REPORT:
Construction crews are working to replace a barrier hit by a semi trailer on Interstate 70 Sunday morning.
One lane is open on I-70 Eastbound and one lane is open on I-70 Westbound, according to the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The semi has been removed from the scene and the road will reopen once the construction company finishes the repairs.
When the crash happened, the semi was blocking all lanes of traffic on I-70 Westbound near State Route 72.
Traffic will be backed up in the area for a while and drivers might consider using an alternative route.
