KETTERING — Crews extinguished a house fire on the 1400 block of Melrose Avenue in Kettering Monday night.
Firefighters arrived at the scene around 8:13 p.m. and found heavy smoke in the kitchen.

Battalion Chief Doug Banstingel tells us there were no people in the house but crews did evacuate two dogs.
The fire under investigation at this time.
