Heavy flames greet Dayton crews in ‘suspicious’ fire

DAYTON — UPDATE @ 9:25 p.m.

Heavy flames were coming from the front of a vacant house tonight when Dayton firefighters arrived.

The fire that broke out at a two-story house in the 400 block of North Mathison Street is suspicious, according to Dayton fire officials. Damages were estimated at $15,000. The house is vacant, and no power is running to the house. The cause remains under investigation.
