Heavy fog continues to delay flights in and out of Dayton International Airport this morning.

Travelers said they aren’t stressed about the change in their plans because of the fog.
She was awaiting a flight to Dayton from Atlanta Wednesday night when a mechanical problem with the plane kept it on the ground in Georgia, but the weather in the Dayton area was so bad that it couldn’t land anyway, she said.
“I’d rather be safe than sorry, so I think it was a wise decision not to fly in this bad fog,” said Johnna Peachey Ecklund, a Warner-Robins, Ga., resident who works at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

A stress-relief dog was trotted out to keep travelers calm, she said.
“We got to pet it,” Ecklund said.
She and a fellow traveler, Jeffrey Martin, also of Warner-Robins, said they would be taking a taxi to Cincinnati tonight and fly to Atlanta from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport on Thursday morning.
The weather also prompted the National Weather Service to issue a dense fog advisory for the region until Thursday morning.
