GREENVILLE — A gas leak in the area of Broadway and Water streets in downtown Greenville has authorities reportedly closing the road, according to initial emergency dispatch traffic.

Initial reports indicated a construction crew working in the area around 10 a.m. may have struck the gas line.
Police were requesting barricades to block the road in the area of the leak, dispatch traffic indicated.
