Former Dayton Mayor Rhine McLin’s home burglarized

DAYTON — Dayton police are investigating a burglary at the home of former Dayton Mayor Rhine McLin, according to a Dayton police report and property records.

The burglary was reported around 5:45 p.m. Sunday on North Paul Laurence Dunbar Street.

“Those three boys, they kicked the Mayor’s door in.  She’s in there hollering,” a 911 caller told dispatchers.  “She’s upstairs hiding in her house.”

It’s unclear whether anything was taken during the reported burglary or whether any of the reported burglars have been arrested.

A Dayton police report obtained by this news organization does not disclose any further details about the incident.
