DAYTON — Heavy downpours are creating flooding conditions on U.S. 35 near James H. McGee in Dayton. Two and three inches of rain has fallen in just a few hours.
We have received additional reports of high water in Downtown Dayton, Wilfred Ave. in Dayton, South Patterson in Dayton and in West Manchester, Ohio.

Drivers should use extreme caution when approaching high water, particularly when passing under bridges, overpasses.

We are expected steady rain throughout the weekend, particularly Saturday night in to Sunday morning.
The entire Miami Valley is under a Flash Flood Watch beginning noon Saturday through 8 a.m. Monday, September 10. The area could see as much as 4 inches of rain.
Several Flood Advisories have been issued in Darke, Preble and Montgomery counties, but are slated to expire later Friday evening.
