FAIRBORN — UPDATE @ 8:10 a.m.
Four people are displaced from a home following an attic fire in Fairborn early Thursday morning.

Fairborn firefighters were dispatched at around 1:53 a.m. to the 1200 block of Oakhill Avenue near Highview Drive on initial reports of a house fire, according to Fairborn Chief Ryan Williams.
The fire started on the second floor and suffered heavy damage.
The first floor also sustained significant water damage, Williams told News Center 7.
The home is not considered a total loss but no one will be able to live in the Cape Cod-style home until repairs are completed and the home is safe.
Two adults and two children have been displaced. They are getting shelter and assistance from family and friends.
Mutual aid was provided by fire departments from Huber Heights, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, and Beavercreek Township later for an unrelated medical incident in Fairborn, Williams said.
The fire was placed “out” at 2:48 a.m.
The cause of the fire is believed to be electrical in nature but remains under investigation.

Huber Heights firefighters were also reportedly providing mutual aid.
