GERMAN TOWNSHIP — A family was removed from their home and unable to return after a “fully engulfed” house fire destroyed their residence early Tuesday morning.

Firefighters from German Township were called near the intersection of state Route 725 and Browns Runs Road at around 1:20 a.m. on reports of a house fire, Montgomery County Regional Dispatch informed News Center 7.
When crews arrived, they described the house as “fully engulfed” in flames, dispatch informed. Firefighters conducted their procedural search and took measures to extinguish the fire.
Although firefighters were able to control then eventually extinguish the fire, they were not able to salvage the home. As a result, the family was displaced by the incident, dispatch stated.
There were no reported injuries; however, medics did respond to the scene as a part of procedure, dispatch continued.
The estimated damage that the fire caused was not immediately available.
The cause of the fire was under investigation at the time of questioning.
