Dog killed in New Year’s Day fire at Huber Heights house

HUBER HEIGHTS — A dog was killed in a house fire that caused significant damage to a home on Falkland Drive Wednesday.

The fire was reported in the 6200 block around 10:55 a.m.

No people were home at the time of the fire and there were no other injuries.

The property was a rental home.

Details about a cause of the fire were not immediately known.
