Fire reported in large oil tank inside Dayton Cargill facility

DAYTON — Multiple firefighters have responded to a fire inside an oil tank at the Cargill facility in Dayton Wednesday morning.

Emergency crews responded to a reported fire at the facility on Needmore Road around 10 a.m.

Initial reports indicate the fire is contained to a 210 gallon oil tank that is believed to be mostly empty.

No injuries have been initially reported.

Firefighters are reportedly using foam to fight the blaze, according to emergency scanner traffic.
