No one injured in fire at Greenlake Drive apartment complex

UPDATE @ 7:10 p.m.:

No injuries were reported from the fire that happened around 1:15 p.m. Saturday at a Greenlake Drive apartment complex, according to Capt. Brian Brennaman of the Xenia Fire Department.

When crews arrived, light smoke was showing from eaves.

Only maintenance personnel was present in the unit that caught fire, but the other units were evacuated for a short time, Brennaman said.

Brennaman said a plumber accidentally caught the wood inside the wall on fire while completing work in the residence.

The damage estimate is unknown, but less than $1,000.

A fire has been reported at a Greenlake Drive apartment complex in Xenia.

The fire is reportedly in the walls of the complex and smoke was showing from the eaves, according to initial reports.
