SPRINGFIELD — Springfield firefighters are battling a fire at a garage and carport at Tom’s Auto Sales on Mitchell Boulevard this afternoon.
Firefighters responded to the business around 12:45 p.m.
Mitchell Boulevard was closed at Belmont Avenue while firefighters battled the flames.
The garage and carport were destroyed during the fire.
A cause of the fire was not immediately available.
