DAYTON — UPDATE @ 1:50 p.m.:
Investigators say that a reported fire on Wilmington Avenue ended up self recovering and mostly consisted of heavy smoke.
Residents of an apartment building were evacuated Saturday afternoon after firemen found extensive smoke on the sixth floor of the building.
The source of the smoke appeared to be coming from one apartment on the sixth floor of the building.
Crews say the cause and assessment of damage are both still under investigation.

An apartment fire has been reported at 980 Wilmington Avenue in Dayton.

Initial reports indicate smoke is showing on the sixth floor.
