Fire displaces 3 families in Dayton apartment building

DAYTON — Fire in a Dayton apartment building has displaced three families.

Initial reports indicated that the fire was reported on the 2000 block of Catalpa Drive just before 8:30 p.m.

No one was hurt in the fire, according to Landis.

Dayton Fire District Chief Adam Landis told News Center 7 that the fire was contained to one unit, but there was smoke damage throughout the building.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
