Gas prices across the region are just above $3 a gallon as Thanksgiving travel arrives, which is more than 25 cents less than the area saw a year ago.
GasBuddy.com currently lists the average price for a gallon of gasoline in the Dayton area as $3.15 and one year ago drivers were paying an average price of $3.42 a gallon.
Some area filling stations selling gas for less than the average price are selling for just over $3 a gallon.
The Gulf station on County Road 25-A in Troy has a gas price listed as $3.03 a gallon and the Circle K down the street was selling for a penny more at $3.04, according to GasBuddy.com
The most expensive prices were reported in parts of Dayton and Beavercreek.
The Sammy's on the corner of Woodman Drive and Linden Avenue had a price of $3.31 a gallon.
The Marathon and Meijer stations on Colonel Glenn Hwy. near Wright State University were both reportedly selling gas for $3.29.
