UPDATE @ 7:05 p.m.:
An estimated 700 people were waiting outside Friday morning for the opening of the Field and Stream store that is drawing a ton of interest this weekend.
Some people complained that there was too much activity and no easy way to get to the store at Austin Landing, but store managers said the activity is what they have been hoping for because it's all about location.
Connor Salyer, 9, who was there with his grandfather, said, "I figured everyone would be here because the outside looked like packed and we got a front-row parking spot and I didn't think we would."
The Miamisburg boy was first in line this evening to get an autograph from Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert.
Store employees were outside all day, directing traffic on the streets surrounding the store and showing customers where to park.
Tom Osborn, store community marketing manager, said, "with the crowd that we had this morning, we had to add some extra stuff out front to help parking and work around the construction to get people in here."
