Family who lost 2 children in I-70 crash last year welcomes new baby

A family with ties to Beavercreek and Kettering involved in a deadly crash last year that claimed two young children have welcomed a new family member.

One year ago today, 1-year-old Finley and 5-year-old Brennen Bereda were killed when a semi hit their family’s van on Interstate 70 in Indiana.

Since the tragedy, the family who now live in Illinois, has welcomed Asher Brennen Bereda, who was born June 25.

He joins his brother, 4-year-old Jorden, and parents David and Tina Bereda.

Proud grandmother Sandy Bereda of Dayton said Asher is a biblical name meaning “happy tears.”
