FAIRBORN — A Fairborn woman is $10,000 richer Wednesday after being selected as a prize winner by Publishers Clearing House.

Margaret Allgood was at the grocery store when she was alerted that someone was at her door via her doorbell camera. Allgood said she assumed it had to be something important and raced home from the store.

Upon her arrival, Publishers Clearing House’s Howie Guja approached Allgood with a oversized check for $10,000 in hand.

Allgood said she submits entries to marketing company everyday and had previously won a couple hundred dollars here and there, but nothing near the $10,000 she won Wednesday.

“I’m so tickled,” Allgood said.

Allgood said she is trying to sell her house and move back to Tennessee, where she is from. The money will help her with that.
