Fairborn schools to hold ‘Run with Lily’ to honor student killed in crash

FAIRBORN — Today Fairborn City Schools are set to host an event in honor of Lily Clinger, 17, who was killed in a crash last Friday.

The event, “Run with Lily,” will be at Community Park on December 21 at 3:00 p.m.

There will be a 1.25-mile run beginning at the athletic entrance to the high school and going around the park.

Clingner was identified as the victim of a deadly crash on Dayton-Xenia Road and Trebein Road on December 16.

The next day, the district came together for a vigil to comfort each other after losing one of their own.

“We are a family. Our family came together tonight to support one another and to honor an amazing student who lost her life in a car accident,” the district posted on social media.

The run will be open to the public.
