SILVER CREEK TWP., GREENE COUNTY — UPDATE @ 8:10 a.m.:
A woman died and a man is in the hospital after they crashed into a tree off state Route 734 at around 12:14 a.m.
According to a release from the Xenia post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Tyler Canterbury, 19, of Jeffersonville, was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer westbound on Route 734 with Lisa Day, 27, of Jeffersonville when the SUV traveled off the right side of the road and crashed into a tree.

Crews on the scene called for CareFlight, which took Canterbury to Miami Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Day died at the scene.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation, but Canterbury and Day were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department, Cedarville Township EMS, Silver Creek Township EMS, New Jasper Township EMS and the Greene County Coroner’s Office all assisted state troopers at the scene.

Emergency crews are on scene at a car crash in Silver Creek Township, just east of Jamestown on state Route 734.
Initial reports said that one victim my have been trapped, and another may have died.
