The Springfield post of Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Clark County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle crash with possible injuries in the 1600 block of South Dayton-Lakeview Road at 2:46 a.m., dispatchers for state troopers stated.
When emergency crews arrived, they discovered that the driver fled the scene on foot and abandoned his sedan, dispatchers claimed.
The car was not reported stolen and did not possess a stolen license plate. As a result, law enforcement agents did not know why the driver decided to flee from the crash site.
Although the call stated that there might have been possible injuries, it could not be confirmed due to the missing driver.
The driver’s location was unknown at the time of questioning. A description was also not available.
The Springfield post of Ohio State Highway Patrol led the investigation into the crash.
