‘Don’t let fans drive drunk;’ Montgomery Cty. OVI Task force to have extra patrols during Super Bowl

DAYTON — The Montgomery County Combined Agency OVI Task Force will have extra patrols out during Super Bowl weekend cracking down on impaired driving, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

They have teamed up with AAA to remind drivers to celebrate the Super Bowl responsibly.

If you are planning to be away from home at a Super Bowl party, the sheriff’s office is reminding people to ensure you don’t find yourself without a designated driver if needed, in a social media post.

“Remember, fans,” the sheriff’s office said. “Don’t fans drive drunk.”

They want people to be make sure they don’t find themselves without a designated driver if needed.

If anyone sees a suspected impaired driver on the roadway, people are encouraged to 9-1-1.
