GREENE COUNTY — Miami Twp. Fire-Rescue saved a dog who had fallen through thin ice at the Ellis Park pond Thursday.
The dog, a Labrador retriever named Leo, had gotten lose from his owner and ran onto the icy pond.
Leo fell through thin ice approximately 20 feet from the shore, according to the fire department.

Crews worked with the Yellow Springs Police Department to free Leo from the ice and get him back on land.
Leo was able to return to his owner after warming up in the ambulance.
