The sheriff’s office said Nevada D. Butcher, age 42, was taken into custody without incident and charged with possession of drugs, trafficking drugs/preparation for sale and possessing a firearm while under a weapons disability.

On January 10th, deputies and detectives executed the search warrant on South Mulberry Street. Detectives recovered approximately three ounces of cocaine packaged for sale, marijuana, U.S. currency, scales, and a loaded .45 caliber pistol, according to the sheriff’s office.

Butcher was incarcerated in the Miami County jail.

Additional charges may be forthcoming after consultation with the Miami County Prosecutor’s Office, the sheriff’s office said.
