A detached garage on Woodward Avenue was completely destroyed Thursday by a fire.
Crews responded to the 1700 block around 12:45 p.m. to smoke in the rear of the house.
According to the homeowner, the mail carrier saw smoke and knocked on the door to alert the residents.
No injuries were reported and the cause is under investigation.

Both Woodward and Glenwood avenues will be closed while crews clean up the fire.
