Deputies: Shots fired incident in Harrison Twp. possibly connected to homicide suspect

HARRISON TWP. — A homicide suspect might have been responsible for firing multiple shots into a minivan on Republic Drive in Harrison Twp. Monday afternoon.

Officers from multiple departments were in the area of Republic Drive near North Dixie Drive around 1 p.m. Monday after the shots fired incident was reported.

A suspect wanted in a Montgomery County homicide might have been the shooter Monday but those reports were still under investigation. Deputies did not provide the name of the suspect nor the homicide they are wanted for.

The shots were fired into the hood of the vehicle, but the one person inside the van was not injured, deputies said.
