HARRISON TWP. — A man was taken to the hospital after being hit by an SUV in Harrison Township Friday night.

Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies and medics were dispatched around 6:56 p.m. at the intersection of Needmore Road and N. Dixie Drive on initial reports of a crash involving a pedestrian, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
A preliminary investigation revealed a man was crossing North Dixie Drive when the victim was hit by a red Chevy Equinox.
Medics transported the man to the hospital with unknown injuries.

Viewers called our newsroom Friday night and said there were a number of sheriff’s cruisers at the scene in front of Advanced Auto Parts.
The crash remains under investigation.
