Dayton man, 23, identified as victim of deadly Harrison Twp. crash

HARRISON TWP. — UPDATE @ 3:05 p.m.: 

The driver killed in a single-vehicle crash has been identified as Antonio Lamar Jones Jr., 23, of Dayton, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office.

Jones died from multiple blunt force injuries and his death was ruled an accident.

One person died in a crash that shut down North Main Street early Wednesday morning, deputies confirm.

According to a release by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, a silver Chevrolet that was traveling north on North Main Street went left of center and struck a utility pole near Waverly Avenue at approximately 2 a.m.

The adult male and only occupant inside the vehicle was pronounced dead upon arrival, the release stated.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office was requested to the scene.

Main Street was blocked near Nottingham Road for the incident, but has since reopened.

The driver’s name was not released.
