Dayton woman reported missing after traveling to Springfield

DAYTON — A car belonging to the husband of a missing Dayton woman was recovered from a lake at Buck Creek State Park in Clark County Thursday, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

LaTricia Bass-Jefferies, 43, was reported missing by her husband Tuesday after she took another woman to Springfield Saturday.

He said he didn’t know who Bass-Jefferies was taking to Springfield, but he knew it was a woman.

“I haven’t seen her since Saturday,” he told 911 dispatchers. “Her mother said she took someone to Springfield. We haven’t heard from her since.”

When asked if he had called Bass-Jefferies, he said her phone “was going to voicemail,” according to dispatch records.

Bass-Jefferies was not found with the car in Clark County and is still considered missing, according to OSHP.
