Dayton Public Schools to allow more fans at athletic events

DAYTON — Dayton Public Schools say they are going to be letting more fans into athletic events.

In a social media post, DPS officials said all athletic events will now allow for 50 percent capacity. Previously, only parents of competing athletes and cheerleaders were permitted into DPS athletic events due to COVID-19.

Officials said that all participating students and coaches will receive four tickets to purchase online. Those not invited to purchase tickets through a student or coach will have the chance to buy a ticket at the gate until the set capacity is reached.

DPS officials said a minimum number of tickets available at the gate will vary by location.

Masks are required for all attendees.
