The Humane Society of Greater Dayton announced Monday concepts for four new building projects, including a full-service animal hospital and adoption center.
The projects — for which the price tags are not yet known — are scheduled to be complete in the next three years.
Three of the projects will be built at the Humane Society’s current site at 1661 Nicholas Road:
- A high-volume spay and neuter clinic;
- A full-service animal hospital; and
- An animal cruelty and neglect center.
The fourth project, a dedicated animal adoption center, will be built at an unannounced location.
The projects are part of an “UnLEASH the Change” vision announced today.
“This is an exciting time for our organization and for the community as a whole,” said Brian Weltge, President and CEO of the Humane Society of Greater Dayton stated in a release. “We are excited to share with you steps we believe will change animal welfare for the Miami Valley and improve our community in the future.”
