DAYTON — The City of Dayton is set to kick off its 2nd Annual Dayton Funk Festival today.
There will be live entertainment and multiple food and merchandise vendors, according to event organizers.

The free event will take place from 1 p.m.-9 p.m. at the Levitt Pavilion today, August 15.
Stan the Man Brooks will be the emcee and DJ for the event.
Event organizers released the following show schedule:
- 1:15 p.m.-2:30 p.m. The Next Phaze
- 3 p.m.-4 p.m. The Swag Band
- 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. Audio Show Band
- 6 p.m.-7p.m. Thump Daddy Funk Band
- 7:30 p.m.-8:45 p.m. Top Secret Band
Organizers are asking people not to bring coolers or outside food and beverages due to local food vendors being on site. People are also asked not to bring dogs or tents.
