DAYTON — A Dayton firefighter arrested last month during a traffic stop in Riverside has been charged with OVI and other charges, according to an incident report.

William Centers Jr., 34, of Beavercreek, was arrested in the area of the 4800 block of Airway Road, after police spotted him driving without a front tire.

Centers failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody.

Riverside police said Centers had slurred speech and his eyes were bloodshot and glossy when they pulled him over around 1 a.m. April 23.

When asking for Centers driver’s license, police said Centers handed them his Home Depot credit card multiple times.

Centers was hired as a firefighter in Dayton in 2017, city records show.
