A male tried to buy gas with a fake $100 bill Thursday night, according to a police report.
Dayton police responded around 9:50 p.m. to the BP gas station, 4024 W. Third St., on a fraud complaint.
The clerk who operates the gas station in the evenings noticed the bill, that stated “only motion picture purposes” on it, was counterfeit.
The suspect is about 5 feet 6, 180 pounds, and was wearing a dark blue shirt with gray sweatpants.

The suspect fled the station in a blue or teal Pontiac Grand AM or Grand Prix.
