DAYTON — UPDATE @ 2:35 a.m: Dayton police located shell casings, a building struck and vehicles hit by bullets, but no victim after a shooting reportedly occurred on North Main Street Wednesday morning, officials confirm.

Crews were dispatched to the area of North Main Street and Ashwood Avenue on a reported shooting with one person possibly shot around 1 a.m., per initial reports.
Officials found multiple shell casings in the area, prompting them to shut down North Main Street for clean-up. An unknown number of vehicles, as well as a nearby building were struck by bullets as well.
No gunshot victim was located at the scene, officials say.
The incident remains under investigation.
