DARKE COUNTY — UPDATE @ 9:08 p.m.: The man who lost his life when he fell inside a grain bin has been identified as 75-year-old Gary Brown of Arcanum, the Darke County Sheriff's Office said in a statement tonight.
Brown was trapped in the bin, on property in the 8000 block of state Route 722, for an unknown amount of time before family members located him, according to the sheriff’s office.
He had been transferring grain from one bin to another at the time of the accident, according to the sheriff’s office.
Brown was pronounced dead at the scene by rescue personnel and the county coroner’s office.

The coroner’s office has been requested to the 8200 block of Ohio 722 after a man reportedly fell into a grain bin, according to our partners at The Early Bird.
The call was reported around 1:15 p.m.
