MIAMI VALLEY — Cold air funnel clouds have been reported in the area Monday evening.
These funnel clouds are smooth, narrow, and hang down a few hundred feet from the cloud base, according to the National Weather Service. They last only a few minutes before dissipating.

They can touch down in rare cases, but only minor damage is reported when they do. If a funnel approaches your location, move indoors.
The NWS says they have received a report of a cold air funnel cloud in Germantown, according to Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs.
