BUTLER TWP. — UPDATE @ 6:30 p.m.:

The ramp from eastbound Interstate 70 to northbound Interstate 75 will remain closed until after 7:30 p.m., when crews will right an overturned semi.

The semi tractor-trailer hauling 46,000 pounds of nails rolled onto its side around 4 p.m. on North I-75 at I-70.

Ohio State Highway Patrol Sgt. Chris Colbert said the truck was headed east on I-70 when it went onto the ramp of NB I-75.

The left two lanes of I-75 are open but the far right lane remains blocked.

“At the bottom of the ramp it appears that it lost control or the load shifted for some reason, causing the vehicle to roll onto its side,” he said.

A pickup was unable to stop and struck the rear of the truck.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital, Colbert said.

Crews were working to unload the boxes of nails from the truck before it would right it, sometime around 7:30 p.m. after rush hour, the patrol said.

Two people were taken to local hospitals with injuries that were not life-threatening, the semi driver and an occupant in a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck that were involved in the crash, according to the Dayton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

UPDATE @ 4:10 p.m.:
