A Clayton man is facing 40 counts of pandering charges related to material involving at least one minor, according to an indictment.

INITIAL REPORT:

Patrick Smith, 23, faces the charges which range from pandering sexual oriented material involving a minor to pandering obscenity involving a minor.

The indictment indicates the offenses took place between May 2016 and April of this year.

According to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office, Smith’s IP address from his computer was reported to have been sharing child porn.

“They did a search warrant on his address and found additional child porn on his devices,” according to Greg Flannagan, spokesman for the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.

Flannagan said Smith did not create any of the photos.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest and his arraignment is scheduled for September 14.
