DAYTON — Chanel Miller has been awarded the nonfiction award for her memoir “Know My Name” according to the Associated Press.
Miller’s memoir details her 2015 sexual assault by Brock Turner while she was outside of a Stanford University fraternity.
AP reports in the book she describes how the national coverage of the trail impacted her life.

This book is the first time shes identified herself publicly.
Winners of the awarded receive a $10,000 honorarium and runners-up receive $5,000 according to AP News.
The Dayton Peace Accords winners will be honored in Dayton on June 27, 2021.
