The 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt was driven by Kaylee Boolman, 20, of Arcanum, p
Boolman’s vehicle caught fire but she was pulled safely by witnesses on scene.
Both women are at Miami Valley Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A woman told deputies she dozed off behind the wheel, causing a head-on crash on Hollansburg-Sampson Road in Darke County Tuesday.

Investigators said an initial investigation found the driver of a Chevrolet Cobalt fell asleep, causing her to drift left of center, and crashed head-on with a Saturn SUV. A driver who passed the crash stopped and pulled one of the women out of the Cobalt just before it burst into flames.

The driver of the Cobalt was taken to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight, while the driver of the SUV was transported to Wayne HealthCare in Greenville. Injuries to both drivers are believed to be non-life threatening.
The crash is still under investigation.
FIRST REPORT
A CareFlight medical helicopter has been requested to a reported head-on crash on Hollansburg-Sampson Road in Darke County Tuesday morning.
The crash was reported in the 8000 block of Hollansburg-Sampson Road around 7:55 a.m. Tuesday.

Initial reports indicate the vehicles collided head-on and caused one of the vehicles to catch fire.
The severity of injuries sustained was not immediately known.
