A woman told police she walked outside a Dayton Dollar General and found a man in the driver’s seat of her car, moments before he crashed the car into the side of the business.

Fire crews and officers responded to the store at 2312 North Main Street in Dayton around 9:50 a.m. Friday on reports of a crash where a car hit the building.
CRIME: Man puts woman’s hands in boiling water
Police said the woman told them she was inside shopping before she walked outside and found a man that she knew in the driver’s seat.
The woman said she tried to chase after the man, but he started to drive off and crashed into the building.
Police found the car unoccupied and the man fled the scene on foot.
Officers said the woman is not cooperating with investigators and will not provide them with the name of the man she said was driving when the car hit the building.
No injuries were reported.
