Arrests made during Mercer County narcotics detail

MERCER COUNTY — Eight people have been arrested after a narcotics detail conducted by the Mercer County Heroin Interdiction Team this week.

The operation, conducted Tuesday, focused on individuals and locations that have been reported in using, selling and transporting narcotics.

Amber Archer, 36, of Celina; Amanda Hatfield, 42, of Celina; Christopher Boop, 40, of Lima; and Lati Hiram, 37, of Celina, were arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine.

Corey Miller, 39, of Celina, was arrested and charged with OVI.

Elaine Trigo, 38, of Celina; Melinda Sawmiller, 58, of Celina; and Corbin Houser, 20, of Celina, were arrested and charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor.

There was a juvenile suspect involved in a Possession of Methamphetamines case. Mercer County Sheriff, Jeff Grey said that case will be sent to the Mercer County Prosecutors Office for review of charges.

The HIT Team made 11 traffic stops, issued 5 citations and executed a search warrant.

One car was towed from a traffic stop. The car had suspected stolen items inside. Deputies and officers conducted a search warrant on that vehicle Wednesday.

The HIT Team is made up of members of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, Celina Police Department and Coldwater Police Department.
