GREENVILLE — Police on Thursday night arrested two men at a home on unrelated charges after a special response team was called when one of the men refused to come out.
Greenville police say they went to a home in the 100 block of Vine Street to serve a Preble County warrant to Matthew J. Hall for not paying child support.

As they waited for the SRT, officers at the scene continued talking with Hall, and he agreed to come out of the residence peacefully, Benge said. While searching the home, officers found a man by the name of Adam L. Kolb hiding. They later learned that he was wanted on drug possession charges, and he was taken into custody, Benge said.
When officers arrived at the home about 10:12 p.m., Hall refused to come out, saying he had a gun and officers would have to shoot him, said Greenville Police Sgt. Ryan Benge. The officers then backed away from the door, set up a perimeter and called the Darke County Special Response Team.

Hall was taken to the Preble County Jail and Kolb was transported to the Darke County Jail, Benge said, adding that there were no injuries.
