SPRINGFIELD — The Clark State Agriculture Club is set to hold its annual plant sale today in Springfield.
From 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., the club will set up shop in the Sara T. Landess Technology and Learning Center (TLC) rotunda on the Springfield campus on April 13, according to a release from Clark State.

The Clark State Plant Propagation class grew a variety of tomatoes, peppers, and some herds, according to Dr. Arly Drake, program coordinator and professor of agriculture at Clark State.
“We will have a variety of different tomatoes and peppers from sweet to hot and also have some herbs such as basil and cilantro,” said Drake. “There is a limited selection of flowers, including snapdragons, salvia, and marigolds.”

Funds raised will go toward the Agriculture and Horticulture Club.
Apart from seed planting, students learned various plant propagation techniques such as hydroponics, micropropagation, grafting, budding, and propagation from cuttings, division, layering, and bulbs.
